Bonfire Labs

Product Launch
Bonfire Labs was proud to see Ricoh’s new ground breaking 360 ̊ Theta camera successfully launch at this September's 2013 IFA Consumer Electronics show in Berlin. Ricoh approached Bonfire Labs to help with their launch plans for this innovative new product with a prototype in hand. The camera shoots a 360 ̊ (spherical) image that is easily sharable, and amazingly interactive. As you might imagine the enthusiasm among our internal tech geniouses was energetic to say the least. The assignment for Bonfire Labs was to strategically develop a new tagline, a product micro-site, a concept video that would inspire the photo enthusiast, and a how-to video for the worldwide launch. Working with the Ricoh product team in both the U.S. and Japan, Bonfire was challenged with introducing the product in a way that was as innovative as the product itself. The eventual campaign launch created wide appeal, social media buzz, and extensive press coverage in the blogosphere, trade and business press. All of which made Ricoh an incredibly happy client.
The last few months have been exceptionally busy at Bonfire Labs, with great new clients Google, Ricoh, GoodData, Motorola and Ongoing work for EA (the SIMS 4 launch) and the roll-up to Anki’s retail launch, added to the fun and kept things exciting. The pace continues, and if you want more up-to-the-minute news, stay tuned @bonfirelabs on Twitter for current posts.

Product Tutorial
Google Chromebook
Brand Motion, Google’s internal creative team, approached Bonfire Labs to concept, design and animate a series of web tutorials highlighting the features of Google's popular Chromebook laptop. For the start of each tutorial, Bonfire created a photo real 3D model of the Chromebook, which pushes-in to into the Chromebook screen to tell simple stories from the user's perspective using an animated UI. Each piece finishes with a pullout that reveals the Chromebook, joined by a charming 3D photo real prop with a fun connection to the story. We completed the English versions, and were quickly asked to localize each piece for seven additional languages.
Product Demonstration
Liquid Agency came to Bonfire Labs to design and animate a series of product videos for Motorola's latest phone, the Moto X. Seven (7) demonstration videos were needed on a breakneck schedule, to make sure they were ready for the Moto X launch on September 6, 2013. Using existing brand guidelines, Bonfire was asked to come up with web videos that would stand apart from Motorola work being done for other venues. The demos were designed and animated using photo real 3D models of the phone, mixed with beautiful motion design. Bonfire's modern graphic language incorporated the playful use of typography to punctuate key messages. Motorola is extremely happy with the resulting videos, with more on the horizon.
Brand Relaunch
GoodData asked Bonfire Labs to help with their complete brand relaunch in September of 2013. Our assignment was to provide assets for GoodData's new site with the goal of changing conventional thinking about cloud based business intelligence services. In all, Bonfire Labs created: a portrait library of employees and customers shot by acclaimed photographer, Jason Madara; wrote, designed, and animated three product overview videos; and wrote and produced the first in a series of live action Customer Testimonial videos. All assets were used as a part of the site relaunch.
